All Northampton Reads

All Northampton Reads is an innovative program to encourage reading aloud with children. All Northampton Reads engages the entire school division to involve elementary school students and their families.  Several times a school year, all elementary students are given the same book to keep. Children and parents/caregivers read these books aloud in their homes. Many community members record chapters to make the books available in audio form. Recordings in English and Spanish were added to the NCPS website for families to enjoy.  NCEF is proud to partner with Northampton County Public Schools in the All Northampton Reads program, and has committed ongoing support by establishing it as a regular budget item with a current year budget of $3,000.
